Privacy policy
This English version is provided for convenience. The French version is the legally binding one.
Last updated: September 13, 2026.
This page explains in plain words what we receive when you use this website, why, how long we keep it, and how to have everything deleted.
The essentials in a few lines
- We never ask about your orientation or your love life.
- Your quiz answers are not stored.
- Your information is used only to write to you about Boom-Boom Rencontres.
- We never sell or share your information.
- One click unsubscribes you, and one email gets everything deleted.
Who is responsible for your information?
The website boomboomrencontres.com is published by Boom-Boom Rencontres SAS (a French simplified joint-stock company), currently being incorporated, Rennes, France. Its publishers are Florence Delaune and Coralie Venière.
For any question about your information, write to us at droits@boomboomrencontres.com, or use the Contact page.
What we receive, and why
When you sign up
- What we receive: your first name, last name, email address, city, country, and your browser language (for example “en-US”), which your browser sends on its own.
- Why: to send you a few emails introducing the project, then a newsletter, once a month at most. Your city and country help us better understand our community. Your language will let us know whom to notify first when the website becomes available in other languages.
- On what basis: your consent, which you give by checking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time.
- For how long: as long as you stay subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we keep only your email address on a do-not-contact list, to make sure we never write to you again. If there has been no contact with you for 3 years, we delete your information.
When you take the quiz
- Your answers are processed on your own device, in your browser, to work out your profile. They are not sent to us and are not stored.
When you write to us
- What we receive: your first name, email address and message, sent from the Contact page.
- Why: to reply to you.
- On what basis: your consent, given by checking the box on the form.
- Your message reaches us by email: it is not stored on the website. We keep it for as long as it takes to handle your request, and no longer than 3 years after our last exchange.
When you visit the website
- To protect the forms against mass submissions, your IP address is kept in memory for 10 minutes at most, then forgotten.
- Like any website, our hosting provider keeps technical logs (IP address, pages requested, date) for server security.
- When your country is France and you type your city, the letters you enter are sent to the French public service geo.api.gouv.fr, which sends back the list of matching towns. No other information is passed on to it.
- Fonts are served by our own website: your visit does not go through Google or any other service.
Cookies and browser storage
- We use no cookies at all: no advertising, no analytics, no tracking.
- Your browser only stores two preferences, on your device: the day or night mode and the text size you chose. They are not sent to us. You can erase them by clearing your browsing data.
Who has access to your information?
- Only us, the founders of Boom-Boom Rencontres.
- Our technical service providers, who act on our instructions and are not allowed to use your information for their own purposes:
- Brevo (a French company): mailing list management and email delivery. Your information is hosted in the European Union.
- Hostinger, UAB (Jonavos g. 60C, 44192 Kaunas, Lithuania): website hosting, on servers located in France.
- We never sell, rent or share your information.
Your rights
At any time, you can:
- find out what information we hold about you, and get a copy of it;
- have it corrected if it is inaccurate;
- have it deleted;
- ask us to stop using it, or to restrict how we use it;
- get it back in a readable format, to hand it over to another service;
- withdraw your consent, without having to give a reason;
- tell us what you would like to happen to your information after your death.
To do so, write to us at droits@boomboomrencontres.com. We will reply within one month at most. To unsubscribe from our emails, the simplest way is the link at the bottom of each one.
If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can contact the CNIL (the French data protection authority): 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France, or through its website cnil.fr.
